Identify error coins with AI assist
This workflow pairs clear photos with AI suggestions so you can confirm the exact error or variety before grading.
- Photograph: Shoot obverse, reverse, and edge in sharp focus. Avoid glare; use a diffuser or indirect light.
- Capture weight: Note the weight to the hundredth of a gram; wrong-planchet errors become obvious.
- Upload: Submit images to the AI checker (coming soon). Include date, mint mark, and any visible doubling.
- Verify: Compare against our reference gallery and known diagnostics for that date/mint.
- Decide: If it matches a known variety, consider third-party grading; if damage is likely, skip the fees.
